Our Story: Compassion Inspired by Personal Experience
SuBon Home Care was founded by Susan Kaitesi, whose commitment to caregiving began through personal experience.
While attending college, Susan became the primary caregiver for her mother during her battle with breast cancer. Supporting her mother through that difficult period gave Susan a firsthand understanding of the physical, emotional, and practical challenges families experience when someone they love needs ongoing care.
That experience also taught her the importance of patience, dignity, compassion, attentive listening, and simply being present.
Susan later gained professional experience supporting seniors and adults with disabilities in residential and community-based settings. Her responsibilities included supervising care programs, coordinating services, assisting individuals with daily routines, supporting independent living, and helping families respond to changing care needs.
Inspired by her personal caregiving journey and professional experience, Susan founded SuBon Home Care to provide seniors, adults with disabilities, and their families with compassionate, reliable, and personalized support at home.
Today, she leads SuBon Home Care with the same values that shaped her earliest caregiving experience—compassion, respect, integrity, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
