• Physical & Safety Review: We assess Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as Personal Care needs, including bathing, grooming, and ambulation (walking) safety.
• Household Logistics: We evaluate Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) provided through our Homemaker Services, such as meal preparation, laundry, and grocery shopping.
• Environmental Safety: Our team helps identify fall risks or home modifications that could improve long-term independence.

2. Education on the "Spectrum of Care"

We help families distinguish between different types of assistance so they don't pay for more—or receive less—than what is needed.

• Companionship vs. Personal Care: We explain when a loved one simply needs social engagement through Companion Care versus hands-on physical hygiene support.
• Specialized Maintenance: We educate families on Specialized Care categories that may require clinical observation, such as Range of Motion (ROM) exercises or specialized health monitoring.

3. Supporting the "Caregiver Behind the Caregiver"

We recognize that family members are often the primary providers and are at high risk for burnout. We assist families by:

• Respite Care Planning: Helping you schedule regular "breaks" through our Respite Care services to recharge while we take over daily responsibilities.
• Collaborative Decision-Making: We encourage family meetings and "shared decision-making," ensuring that both the client and the family are heard.
• Advocacy & Navigation: We teach families how to communicate effectively with doctors and help navigate the Medicaid Waiver process to ensure all available financial resources are utilized.
